Unless requested to do so in writing or at the time of placing the online collection,Banknet Couriers shall be under no obligation to effect insurance in respect of any consignment. A nominal premium will be levied; this amount is dependent on the value you will be insuring. Kindly note that second hand items will only be insured against total loss, and not against damages and all new items must be in their original packaging during transport.

Banknet Couriers will not insure dangerous, hazardous, combustible or explosive materials, gold and silver bullion, coin, cyanides, precipitates or any form of uncoined gold and silver ore, bullion, platinum and other metals, precious and semi-precious stones including commercial or industrial diamonds, currency (paper or coin) of any nationality, negotiable securities, stocks, bonds, certificates, uncancelled postage or revenue stamps, war savings or thrift stamps, blank or endorsed bank cashier’s cheques, money orders or traveler’s cheques, antiques, fossils and ammonites, artwork, livestock or plants, plans & designs, manuscripts and furs, and in the event that any customer should consign any of the above items with Banknet Couriers, the customer shall indemnify BanknetCouriers for all claims, damages and expenses arising in connection therewith and Yabathu Couriers shall have the right to deal with such items as it shall see fit including the right to abandon carriage of the same immediately upon Banknet Couriers having knowledge that such item infringes these conditions.

Banknet Couriers reserves the right to reject any insurance claim which is not notified to us within seven (7) days after delivery of the consignment, or the due date upon which the consignment should have been delivered in the terms of the contract. No, unless a Saturday service is paid for and requested, any shipment sent on a Friday on the Express service will be delivered the following working day to main centres, and regional centres can expect a day’s delay.

Yes, this service is available. Banknet Couriers will provide a “TA” Speed Services tracking number for this shipment. It is important to note that once the package is in the Post Office environment the only tracking can be done via the Speed Services website by the use of their tracking number. Although Banknet Couriers can offer this door to Post Office box or counter service, we have no control over the package once handed over to Speed Services.

This service is available on a national level, Mondays to Fridays, but it is dependent on flight availability. These times can only be determined on the day the consignment is lodged with the airline. There is a flight schedule booklet that is available to the public depicting the various destinations and flights available. Generally, the consignment needs to be lodged with the relevant airline one hour before the departure and takes approximately one hour for the consignment to be cleared and released after arrival at the destination airport.
Banknet Couriers are dependent on the following factors when lodging same-day shipments with the airline and cannot be controlled or monitored by Banknet Couriers:

Customs and excise define documents as sheets of loose paper that are unbound. Books, magazines and brochures are regarded as non-documents and an invoice will need to accompany the package. Proforma invoices are used when the package has no commercial value and the receiver will not realise a profit from its contents. Banknet Couriers will prompt you for the documentation required at the time of processing the collection request online.

Commercial invoices are necessary when the package being shipped is of commercial value and the person or company sending the package will realise a profit from the contents.

Banknet Couriers will complete the CCA1 form on behalf of the customer.

Bank declarations are completed for shipments in excess of ZAR 50 000.00. This form can be obtained from your bank.
